Introducing the Canadian International Council's GPS Project: A Global Positioning Strategy for Canada

October 29, 2009 06:00PM to 07:30PM  Export

CIC-Vancouver Branch Presents: Ed Greenspon and Jennifer Jeffs

Please join us at a reception to launch CIC's major initiative to design a new Canadian approach to international affairs in the context of changing global circumstances.

Meet the GPS project's co-Chair, Ed Greenspon, former Editor-in-Chief of The Globe and Mail, Jennifer Jeffs, CIC's new President, and the GPS project's panelists.

The CIC has assembled a panel of a dozen Canadians, largely from the generation that came to age in the post-Cold War era of global horizons and digital connectedness, to help with this effort. The objective of the exercise is to produce a report that provides policy-makers and the public with an original and pragmatic pathway to a more meaningful role for Canada in the world. Along the way, the CIC will be looking for contributions from its branches and the public at large.

6:00-7:30pm
Seymour Room
Hyatt Regency Vancouver
655 Burrard Street

Cocktail reception is free
